Parents Annual Fund

In 2008-2009, the Parents Annual Fund thanked over 3,400 parents of current and former Washington University students for gifts totaling just over $2.0 million. In addition, parents also gave significant restricted gifts bringing the total of parent giving to over $5.2 million.

Your gift to the Parents Annual Fund directly supports the school in which your student is enrolled or any other area you wish to support. Each dean selects a priority use for parents’ gifts to that school or college. Gifts are applied to the following areas until the needs are met. Subsequent gifts are then assigned to other uses, including computer upgrades, renovations, or whatever is needed most.

PARENTS CHALLENGE
Washington University greatly appreciates the generosity of David and Robin Small, parents of Aeron, Arts & Sciences Class of 2011, who have issued a $100,000 Eliot Society challenge to parents of Washington University students. More information

Your Parents Annual Fund gift is credited to your student’s school(s) unless you instruct otherwise. You may also designate your gift to one of the following areas: University College; Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts; Law; University Libraries; Medicine; Siteman Cancer Center; Social Work; Murray Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy; Kemper Art Museum; Athletics/W Club; Edison Theatre; Friends of Music; Gephardt Institute for Public Service; and the Center for the Study of Ethics and Human Values.

Your gift of $1,000 or more will qualify you for membership in the William Greenleaf Eliot Society. Eliot Society members are the leaders who help ensure Washington University’s stature as one of the world’s leading institutions of teaching and research.

Each gift makes a difference. Please give to help Washington University increase its margin of excellence.
